Fishing Guide for Swims on Darenth Big Lake.

 

Road Bank

 

Double Gravel.

Short Left Right Margins Maximum 40 Yards straight out

 

Big Road.

Aiming at the Island 55 yards straight out aiming at the Island

 

Little Road.

Aiming at the gap in the Island 55 yards out

 

Number 29.

Aiming at the small island to the steeple 35 yards straight out

 

The Steps.

Aiming at the steeple to the telegraph pole 30 yards out

 

Snags.

Aiming at the telegraph pole and at the dead tree in snag corner around to the reeds under your rod tips.

DO NOT WALK THROUGH THE UNFISHABLE OUT OF BOUNDS AREA.

Abuse this and you will lose your ticket.

 

Fence Bank

 

The Mud.

Left and Right Margins under your tips maximum range straight out 25 yards.

 

The Elderberries.

Right to weeping willow tree left margin to reed line. Maximum cast to steeple 45 yards aiming at The Singles / Willows front of Willows island

Approximately 80 yards.

 

The High Bank.

Left margin to the base of the willow tree stump. Maximum range is to the far island and right side overhangs. DO NOT CAST INTO THE WILLOWS WATER.

 

The Fridge.

Up to the Island short left and right margin.

 

The Little Gap.

Straight out to the back of the bar that runs between the two Gap swims. The Gaps share the length of the bar equally approximately aiming at the Willow tree stump between the Little Twenties and The Bum swim.

 

The Big Gap.

Maximum cast is to the point of the far Island. DO NOT CAST DOWN THE SIDE OF THE ISLAND THIS WATER BELONGS TO THE BUM SWIM AND THE NO:10 SWIM. Straight out cast to the back of the bar, your water is half of the width of the bar between the islands. Again use the Willow tree stump between The Bum and The Little Twenties as your marker.

 

The Shit House Door.

The whole of the Snag Island and the Cigar Island belong to this swim plus the bar. DO NOT CAST OVER THE BAR THIS WATER BELONGS TO NO: 9

 

The Fence.

Up to far Island left side of The Pineapple Tree through to the Second cove. Right margin down to the end of the snags before the stump water.

DO NOT CAST OVER THE BAR THIS WATER IS SHALLOW

 

The Stump.

Left margin up to the snags and owns from over hangs left stump up to large cove between Stump and fence. (Two coves to fish into)

 

The Slope.

Owns slope cove directly in front of the swim to upturned stump on the point of the Island furthest point of right hand rod is the insert on the bank where the Slope bush was removed.

DO NOT CAST ONTO THE TIP LAKE BANK

 

Tip Bank

 

Gravel Corner.

Left margin up to snag maximum range 25 yards arcing around to right hand margin under the rod tips.

 

Grave Diggers.

Under rod tips straight out maximum range 20 yards.

 

The Bucket.

Left and right margins short point of Island right hand side of the upturned stump to the limb that comes out at 45 degrees then kicks off at 35 degrees.

 

The Boards.

Short margins up to 25 yards to short gravel hump in line with conifer.

 

Number 49.

All margin work up to over hangs.

 

River Bank

 

Number One.

Left and right margins straight out 25 yards.

 

The Rats.

Straight out from the snag off of the point of the island up to the brambles.

DO NOT CAST INTO ONES WATER OR ONTO THE TIP BANK.

 

The Royal Box.

From the right hand side of brambles to six foot left hand side of the white post. Side Island from the silver birch stump to the point of the short island.

 

Island swim.

Under rod tips up to the Silver birch stump around to the middle of the short island.

 

The Long White post.

Under the rod tips to middle of short island and around to the corner stumps.

 

The White post.

From the stumps on the corner of the short island to the far island white post to the end of the physical island.

 

The Sticks.

From the end of the physical Island to the end of the Cigar Island

 

Number 9.

The gap between the end of The Cigar Island and the start of the snag Island up to the bar.

DO NOT CAST OVER THE BAR INTO THE FENCE WATER.

 

Number 10.

The whole of the snag Island and all the side margin of the short Island.

 

The Little Bum.

The front of the short Island.

 

The Bum Swim.

The Side of the short Island straight out to the middle channel half way across the channel. The furthest right mark is the two big trees in the between the Gap swims.

 

The Little Twenties.

Straight out to the center of the middle channel using the big trees between the Gap swim as left marker and the corner of the far Island as right marker.

 

The right Twenties.

Right side of far Island to left side far Island channel back to point Willows Island. Willows Island white painted stick up to over hang on far point.

 

The Weeping Willows.

Short Island left side up to white painted stick middle of front Willows Island.

 

The Layby.

Middle Willows Island around to stumps on the corner underneath the weeping Willow margins.

 

The Willows.

From Corner stumps Willows Island to furthest overhang on Willows Island. Open water Back of Willows Island aiming at right corner of High Bank swim.

The Singles.

Straight out to back of the Willows Island for distance aiming at horses head tree behind The Elderberries to Mud swim.

 

The Particles.

Straight out towards The Elderberries and Mud maximum rand 50 yards.

 

The Little Particles.

Straight out towards the Mud Swim and the snag corner maximum range 30 yards

 

The Pad Corner.

Straight out towards snag corner 30 yards onto snags along Road bank path.

KEEP OUT OF THE OUT OF BOUNDS AREA.

Note if the swim next to you is free you can always fish the designated water until the swim becomes occupied.
